Jason D. Hunter and Jonathan D. Zima of HLG just secured a complete defense verdict in a 2-week jury trial in San Bernardino County Superior Court – Rancho Cucamonga. The plaintiff asked the jury to award him $2.9 million and claimed that he injured his left shoulder and knee after falling from his tractor-trailer in the repair bay of a commercial truck repair facility. Plaintiff claimed that the fall was caused by the mechanic who removed the steps while the plaintiff was inside the truck. Plaintiff had 2 post-incident knee surgeries and his orthopedic expert recommended 2 additional surgeries to his knee and shoulder. The jury unanimously found that the mechanic was not negligent.
