Zachary’s practice is focused on civil defense litigation, with an emphasis on products liability, transportation, and public entity defense. He represents manufacturers, common carriers, public agencies, commercial businesses, and insureds in complex, high exposure matters involving catastrophic personal injury, commercial automobile and trucking accidents, public transit operations, public property claims, premises liability, construction defect, and other complex tort litigation. He approaches every case with an emphasis on early case evaluation, strategic risk assessment, and efficient case management, positioning matters for successful resolution through motion practice, settlement, or trial.
Before entering private practice, Zachary spent more than 14 years in the insurance industry, where he worked in claims handling and third-party administration with a focus on excess and surplus lines. His insurance background provides him with a comprehensive understanding of the claims process, coverage considerations, litigation strategy, and the business objectives of insurers and self-insured entities. This experience enables him to effectively align litigation strategy with client goals while delivering practical, cost-effective representation throughout every stage of the litigation process.
Zachary earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he competed with the Men’s Club Rugby team. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association.
When not practicing law, Zachary is a competitive powerlifter and enjoys building model kits. He is a devoted Los Angeles Rams fan and spends much of his free time with his girlfriend, Maddy, and black lab, Goose.
